The Five For The Fallen Memorial Ruck is a 10K obstacle-course ruck held at Pineland Farms in New Gloucester, Maine. It was created to honor Maine's post-9/11 fallen service members. Participants carry packs, making the race a challenge of moving with weight, sharing a physical trial, and showing fallen military families that their loved ones are still remembered.
The route follows the trails at Pineland Farms before participants enter “The Crucible,” a section with over 20 obstacles designed to test strength, endurance, and resolve. The event's core principles are Challenge, Serve, and Inspire. Its message aligns with The Summit Project's mission: to remember fallen heroes by continuing their selfless service and character. The event has experienced interruptions, so confirming its current status is advisable before making plans.
