Forgotten Florida is a trail race series held in Christmas, Florida, offering 100-mile, 50-mile, 15-mile, and 8-mile distances over a weekend in January. The races are set in old Florida trail country, avoiding pavement and resort-style courses, with organizers guiding runners through areas unfamiliar even to many residents.
The course crosses trails within Tosohatchee, Charles Bronson State Forest, Seminole Ranch, and Little Big Econ State Forest. Runners will encounter seldom-used single track, palm groves, pine flat woods, sections that are easy to run, and areas with mud, grass, and roots, though it is not a swampy course. Tosohatchee and Seminole Ranch provide opportunities to see birds like herons, cranes, bald eagles, and spoonbills. Each race distance includes maps, aid station information, cutoff times, and details for crew or pacers. Volunteers receive free race entries.
