Founders Day Fun Run

The Founders Day Fun Run is a summer community event held at Buddy Campbell City Park in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho. The race is straightforward: a $15 5K begins at 8:00 a.m. MDT, followed 15 minutes later by a $15 one-mile kids run. The event also features a $20 Pickle Ball Charity Challenge, dividing the morning between runners and players on the park courts. The 5K begins in Buddy Campbell Park, proceeds 1.5 miles down Maughan Road, and turns around at the Merrick Road intersection before returning. This out-and-back course has gentle rolling hills and curves, with a turnaround marked by a sign and flags. Families may opt for the one-mile course, while pickleball games take place on the park's six courts, with an indoor option if weather deteriorates. Proceeds benefit the Greater Lava Hot Springs Prosperity Foundation, supporting local arts, culture, community projects, and youth music scholarships.
