Freedom 5k

The 25th Freedom 5K is on the soccer field lawn. Last year saw 516 signups. Heart hero race day entries are available. The Kids Sparkler is for children. Packet pickup is at Gingerbreadman Running store. Gooody bags may have door prizes. The out and back course uses wave starts for paces from sub 24 min to walkers. Stay to the right half of the trail to avoid bikers and toss cups into barrels downstream. Traffic horses will guide you at intersections. Speedy runners aim for gun time awards. Masters and age groupers are chip timed. A virtual 5K option is available. It kicks off and finishes at Lynch Field, benefiting the American Heart Association.
