Glow & Go Walk/Run

Glow & Go Walk/Run is a Friday-night YWCA event held at Cole Park Amphitheater in Corpus Christi, Texas. Opening ceremonies begin at 7:30 p.m., with the run/walk commencing at 8. Participants can choose between a chip-timed 5K run and a 2-mile walk. The event welcomes adults, children, serious runners, joggers, casual walkers, strollers, and pets. Children under 5 participate for free if they do not require a shirt. The course is designed for a night-fun-run atmosphere, not an elite competition. Participants are encouraged to bring glow sticks to illuminate the park after dark. Awards are given to top finishers. Those who register early receive a T-shirt and glow stick. A "Couch Potato" entry is available for individuals who wish to support the event without participating in the run or walk. The YWCA Fun Run, which began in the early 2010s, raises funds for YWCA mission work and programs.
