The Harvest Run begins Thanksgiving morning at 102 Starksville Ave N in Leesburg, Georgia. Check-in is at the Leesburg Recreation Building, near First Baptist Leesburg. Participants can select a 5K or a 10K, accommodating those seeking a short holiday run and those preferring a longer effort before their Thanksgiving meal.
The course is described as fast and flat, passing through central Leesburg. The 5K includes one water stop, while the 10K has two. Awards are presented to the top overall male and female finishers, top masters male and female, and age-group winners from 9-and-under to 70-plus. This Southwest Georgia Thanksgiving event is a tradition focused on enjoying fresh air and earning one's meal. Past results indicate a competitive field, with recorded times of 16:25 for the 5K and 33:31 for the 10K.
