Logan Regional Medical Center Deer Dash 5K/10K

The Logan Regional Medical Center Deer Dash offers a free 5K and 10K race at Chief Logan State Park in Logan, West Virginia. Both races begin at 9:00 a.m. from the parking lot near the Museum in the Park. Race-morning registration opens at 8:00 a.m. The 5K is a run/walk on flat paved park roads, suitable for walkers, newer runners, and those seeking a straightforward option. The 10K follows a trail route, incorporating Buffalo Trail, Lakeshore Trail, Black Bear Trail, and Wildcat Trail before concluding near the historic Museum in the Park. This course provides trail runners with varied park terrain while maintaining the same start and finish location by the museum. The defining characteristic of the series is its cost: both the 5K Run/Walk and the 10K Trail Run are free to enter.
