Miles in the Maize

Miles in the Maize is a fall race series in Maize, Kansas. It features a one-mile Maize Mile at 9:30 AM CST, followed by a 5K at 10:00 AM CST. The mile race begins the events, with the 5K starting 30 minutes later. This race is designed for participants of all levels, including children, new runners, and those competing for overall or age-group awards. The course is off-road, incorporating the local theme by winding through a corn maze and passing a pumpkin patch. Costumes are encouraged, with awards for best costumes presented before the 5K. Following the races, a brief awards ceremony will recognize overall and age-group winners. Proceeds benefit Let Me Run and Girls on the Run, supporting youth running programs.
