Neptune Fire Company 5K

The Neptune Fire Company 5K begins and ends at Neptune Fire Co. Number 1 on Lincoln Avenue in Tyrone, Pennsylvania. This race is part of the Tyrone Race Series and offers several entry options: the standard 5K, a walking division, a firefighter division in full protective gear, a first responder division, a student 5K, and a Kids Bucket Brigade Sprint for younger children following the main event. The event directly supports the firehouse. Neptune Fire Company was established over 150 years ago by local residents to provide fire protection for Tyrone as it grew. Today, it responds to over 375 calls annually with a small volunteer crew. Race proceeds contribute to operating costs and equipment upgrades, such as firefighter gear exceeding $8,000 per individual. The event also features goodie bags, awards, a closing ceremony, 50/50 and basket raffles, and food vendors including Sunset Slush and Parlor Doughnuts.
