Riverpark 5K Summer Series

The Riverpark 5K Summer Series is a four-week run/walk series held in Oxnard, California's Riverpark neighborhood. Each week features a 5K starting at Windrow Park. The first race coincides with the Fourth of July event, taking place in the morning, while subsequent weeks are scheduled for the evening. Participants may register for a single race, multiple races, or the entire series. Each 5K race is limited to 150 participants. The course is contained entirely within neighborhood bike paths and sidewalks, with both the start and finish located at Windrow Park. A free 1K race for children aged 7 and under precedes each 5K, making the series suitable for families alongside adult runners and walkers. Awards are determined after the final race, honoring the top three finishers in each age category for the 5K series. Those who register for the full series will receive a shirt. All proceeds benefit the Rio Mesa Cross Country and Track teams, managed by Rápido Running, a nonprofit organization established to support local high school running programs.
