Rock It in Chino Hills 5K & 10K 2026

The Rock It in Chino Hills 5K & 10K is a trail race and hike held at Chino Hills State Park. It begins near the Discovery Center off Carbon Canyon Road in Brea, California. The 5K and 10K start simultaneously. The 10K course measures approximately 6.75 miles, which is closer to 11K than a typical 10K. Rock It Racing is the organizer, providing RFID chip timing for participants seeking an official time. The courses utilize park trails. The 5K route includes one aid station, while the 10K route has three. These aid stations are cup-free, requiring participants to carry their own water bottles, hydration packs, or pouches for refills. All finishers receive a custom patch, shirt, photos, post-race nutrition, and a raffle entry. The top three male and female finishers in each distance will receive prizes and awards. Additionally, first-place age-group awards and podium awards are presented. Strollers and dogs are prohibited on the course and within the park. The race may be postponed due to conditions such as mud, wet trails, fire risk, or other safety concerns that render the park unsuitable.
