Run Through the Grapevine

Run Through the Grapevine is an annual 8K cross-country and trail race held at Linganore Winecellars in Mt. Airy, Maryland, typically on the first Sunday in November. The race takes place on the winery grounds at Glissans Mill Road; its distance is approachable, but the terrain presents a genuine off-road challenge. The course winds through Linganore’s grapevines, brewery hop yards, open fields, and wooded single track. Organizers characterize it as very challenging. Finishers receive a complimentary tasting in the winery tasting room. The event supports local causes through the Howard County Striders’ partnership with the Community Action Council of Howard County, includes a race-morning food drive for the Howard County Food Bank, and features the Steps Forward virtual fundraiser for those wishing to add miles or join a team remotely.
