Run Upside Down is a virtual race with a Stranger Things theme, allowing participants to run or walk wherever they are located rather than on a single, shared course. It provides five distance options: 1 mile, 5K, 10K, half marathon, and marathon. The event aligns with January, Human Trafficking Awareness Month, though participants have the flexibility to complete their selected distance at any point during the year.
The "course" is determined by the participant's chosen route, which could be a local loop, a treadmill session, a trail, or an extended road route for longer distances. The registration fee covers a medal and bib, subject to limited medal availability, and race packets are dispatched soon after sign-up. A portion of each registration, specifically fifteen percent, benefits Operation Underground Railroad. This marks the event's third year.
