Running with the Dogs

Running with the Dogs is an annual 5K fun run and walk in Kilgore, Texas. The race begins and ends at the Dudley Road entrance of the Creekside Trail. It serves as a morning fundraiser for the Kilgore Independent School District Education Foundation. A separate Kids’ 1K is available for children aged 3 through fifth grade. The 5K follows a swift out-and-back course on the Kilgore Creekside Trail, suitable for walkers, novice runners, groups, and those aiming for a personal record. Students and athletes line the route to offer encouragement. Prizes are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in the 5K, and winners of the kids’ race also receive prizes. Parents can observe the entire 1K course. Additionally, a “Sleep in Supporter” option allows individuals to contribute to the fundraiser without participating in the run.
