Steps Toward a Cure: Michigan is held at Kensington Metropark’s North Martindale Picnic Shelter in Milford. The event features a timed 5K, a 1-mile family walk, and a short Kids Fun Run. Check-in and onsite registration begin the morning. The 5K starts first, followed by the kids run, and the walk concludes the morning’s races. The kids race is half a mile or shorter, making the day suitable for families as well as regular runners. Refreshments, children’s activities, and lunch are available after the races. All proceeds support research toward a cure. Individuals with Dravet Syndrome or epilepsy may register free with a paying adult, reinforcing the event’s connection to the community it serves.
