The 2027 Cowtown Race Weekend

The Cowtown Race Weekend is an annual running event in Fort Worth, held on the last weekend of February. It is the largest multi-event race in North Texas, offering runners and walkers a variety of distances: Kids 5K, Adults 5K, 10K, half marathon, full marathon, relay, and a 50K road ultramarathon with a 7.5-hour cutoff. The shorter races typically start first. The 5K attracts over 5,000 participants, and the 10K brings more than 2,000 on a course combining city roads and riverfront paths. The half marathon and marathon routes traverse Fort Worth streets, with the half often seeing around 5,000 participants and the marathon also drawing thousands. The ultra utilizes the road course, but runners who do not meet the cutoff may be assisted by sag vehicles, and course support concludes after the time limit. The children's 5K is open to all, though only participants under 17 are eligible for age-group awards. All race distances are also available virtually.
