The Cookie Mile

The Cookie Mile is a one-mile road race in Aksarben Village, Omaha, Nebraska, offering a fresh-baked Kookaburra cookie to every finisher. This fast, flat loop race, presented by Kookaburra Cookies, Fleet Feet, and Nike, uses short, separate starts instead of a single large field. Elite runners begin first, followed by high school, middle school, open runners and walkers, and a kids' quarter-mile for younger children. The mile starts at Stinson Park, loops through Aksarben Village, and concludes at 67th Street and Mercy Road. The open division welcomes runners and walkers of any age or pace. School divisions are organized for grades 5-8 and 9-12, with a separate elite division for those aiming for the fastest Cookie Mile time. All participants receive a custom finisher medal and an exclusive finisher shirt. The cookie at the finish line is the race's distinct tradition. This event is in its early stages, with its second annual edition scheduled.
