Turkey Burner 5K

The Turkey Burner 5K is a Thanksgiving-season 5K run and walk held at Hinckley Lake within Hinckley Reservation. The start and finish lines are located at the South Ball Field parking lot. Registration is limited to 800 participants, maintaining a local, family-friendly atmosphere rather than a large-scale event. All participants receive a custom long-sleeved shirt and a medal. Race-day registration begins in the morning prior to the 9:00 am start. The course is a paved path encircling Hinckley Lake, completing one full loop. Parking is limited, so organizers suggest carpooling or arriving early. Participants using the most distant parking areas will receive discount tickets for a future race. The event also includes a fundraising component: raising $100 results in an entry-fee refund, and top fundraisers are awarded Fleet Feet gift certificates. Expect age-group awards, families collecting their race packets, and runners dressed in turkey or cranberry costumes.
