The Turkey Trot for A-Rare-Ness and Wobble for a Cure is a Thanksgiving Day 5K run/walk in Rockwood, Tennessee. The race begins and ends at Cofer's Garage on South Front Street. This event welcomes participants of all ages and fitness levels, with funds raised benefiting the Kennedy Ladd Foundation's efforts in MPS1 research and advancing a cure for the rare genetic disorder.
The primary event is a 5 km run or walk. Children can participate in a shorter "Wobble for a Cure" event. The morning's activities also feature costume contests, face painting, music, and refreshments. An all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast is available, with complimentary meals for registered timed runners and children two years old and younger. Awards will be presented for Fastest Runner, Best Costume, and Largest Team.
