The Wild River Dash is a paddle-and-run duathlon held at Esther Simplot Park in Idaho's Treasure Valley. Adults and teens complete a 0.5-mile paddle followed by a 2-mile run. Children have a shorter 0.25-mile paddle and a 1-mile run. The event accommodates all ages with divisions for adults, teens, and kids. Participants can compete individually or as a two-person relay team.
The race begins on Quinn's Pond with an out-and-back paddle before transitioning to the Greenbelt for the run loop. Wild Hearts Idaho organizes this event, which supports transportation access for the group's outdoor adventure programs. Racers may bring a properly tagged kayak, paddleboard, or canoe. Paddleboards can also be rented from local partners, simplifying participation for those without personal equipment.
