Sobre esta carrera
Behind the pool is the useful detail here: this is CORC cyclocross, not a polished road outing. The 2026 CORC CX Series Rd1 opens a three-round mini series, with the club keeping the same general Mersey-side race area but changing the tape each round. Expect a club feel, electronic timing, numbers on backs, tags on seatposts, and grades that let beginners and juniors line up without pretending they are already specialists.
The course can be "fast and flowy", but later rounds are flagged for "more climbing, tech and off-camber goodness", so bring legs and handling rather than just fitness. Juniors race on the adult course, aimed at "kids after a bit more of a challenge" before C-Grade. Any bike works in B-Grade or C-Grade, but in A-Grade, in the spirit of cyclocross, drop bars are required.
