Sobre esta carrera
Hay Street marks the start, with Gloucester Park at the finish and the Swan River, Derbal Yerrigan, nearby on Whadjuk Boodjar. HBF Run for a Reason has gathered runners, walkers, and wheelers since 2010. It maintains its character as a significant local fundraiser, with participants supporting charities and generating enough energy to attract newcomers.
The course is flat and fast, particularly on Mounts Bay Rd, offering "stunning Swan River views" before passing through the "iconic Northbridge Tunnel." Other courses also use the tunnel, cross the Causeway, and are designed to be accessible for beginners and wheelchair users, concluding at Gloucester Park. Tens of thousands of participants create a lively atmosphere, and a notable feature is its blend of "community spirit with achievable fitness goals," avoiding excessive seriousness.
