Dungog Common serves as the meeting place for a morning described as a “Small town, big trail running festival!” Runners, walkers, families, and dogs participate together. It offers a local day out centered on fresh air, coffee, brunch, music, and fundraising for the community centre, rather than feeling like a large-scale race event.
The running events are trail-focused, with the festival returning to its origins after a previous more casual format. Children aged 12 and under can participate for free. Supervised "kids bushcraft-rewilding-trail running activities" are available for families while adults run. Dogs are integrated into the event, including a best-dressed competition.
