Whitsunday Trail Fest 2026

The Whitsunday Trail Fest begins waterside at the Foreshore and Coral Sea Marina, directing runners inland toward Conway Circuit National Park rather than remaining solely on the beach. This trail-running series in the Whitsundays offers distinct starts for adults, teens, and children, building on approximately twenty years of local running tradition. The course alternates between wider fire trails and tighter walking paths requiring careful footing. Some participants commence at the race headquarters, while others start at Brandy Creek, with all converging back toward the Foreshore finish line. The event originated from Mackay Road Runners' initial trail run and was subsequently managed by Whitsunday Running Club for ten years. Local elements include a Mascot Race, a children's beach gathering and briefing, event t-shirts, and finisher medals.
