The Hyundai Half Marathon begins on the Vasco da Gama Bridge, offering runners a unique start over the Tejo before they complete 21 km into Lisbon. This Sunday morning half marathon has a 3-hour limit, is capped at 10,000 participants, and is one of Portugal’s most popular races. Kit collection is available at the Sport Expo on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday before the event, where participants receive a bib with a timing chip, a technical shirt, and a bag.
The course proceeds from northern Lisbon to Praça do Comércio, sharing a finish area with the EDP Lisbon Marathon. Along the route, runners will see river views and pass historical Lisbon sites before arriving at the downtown square. Access to the start is strictly managed: participants must use the official buses from Gare do Oriente, and they can use public transport there for free by showing their bib. Finishers are awarded a medal, and the event is distinct from the SuperHalfs series, though it shares the Lisbon race weekend atmosphere.
