Vaca Backyard Ultra 2026

Vaca Backyard Ultra begins at 9 PM at Vaca Bike Park, also known as Sítio Chachá, in the Lami area of Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul. It is a backyard ultra format: runners complete a 6.7 km loop, have one hour to finish it, and must line up again at the start of the next hour if they wish to continue. The bell dictates the race: miss the next start, arrive past the hour, or decide not to start again, and your race concludes with a DNF. There is no set end time; the event concludes only when the final runner finishes a solo lap. The series also provides lap goals corresponding to common distances, with up to 4 laps for a half marathon, up to 7 for a marathon, and 8 or more for the ultra category, serving as a selection qualifier.
