Sobre esta carrera
The Seester Sternenlauf begins in Seester, a village in Schleswig-Holstein, with a late-June morning start. Participants include runners, walkers, Nordic walkers, children, youth runners, and Bambini. This is a charity run for the Kinder-Hospiz Sternenbruecke in Hamburg; all proceeds go to the hospice. The event offers several distance options: 3 km, 5 km, and 10 km.
The 10 km route passes through a historic linden avenue. Spectators and villagers decorate parts of the streets along the course. The Sternenlauf has taken place annually since 2013. Even when a Corona-related cancellation occurred, many participants declined refunds to ensure a donation could still be sent to Sternenbruecke. The hospice will have an information booth at the event site, which also provides food and drink for participants and visitors.
