Sobre esta carrera
The kleiner KoBoLT sits inside the privately organized KoBoLT ultratrail series, with small fields and routes on parts of the Rheinsteig in western Germany. The organizer lists events around Koblenz, Rengsdorf, and Bonn, and the race family stretches from the K73 to longer options such as K99, K140, and Trail XL. The 73 km kleiner KoBoLT has 2,800 meters of climbing and counts for the UTMB Index, so it is a serious mountain-and-forest day rather than a casual trail run.
The routes use GPX tracks and ask runners to handle long-distance trail navigation on rolling Rhineland terrain. The 140 km version climbs roughly 4,450 meters, while the Trail XL range reaches into the 155-209 km bracket. Entries are tight: the K140 sold out in 32 hours and the K99 in 48 hours, with waitlists opened after fields filled. Results for the 73 km race list only 25 finishers, which fits the event’s non-public, enthusiast-run character. The team also donates race surplus, with one reported donation of 1,500 euros.
