The Lipperlandtriathlon takes place in Lage, North Rhine-Westphalia, in mid-June, organized by Tri Team TG Lage. The main event is a short, accessible sprint triathlon: 500 meters swimming, 20 kilometers cycling, and 5 kilometers running. It is designated as a Volkstriathlon, designed for everyday athletes and regular triathletes, with limited entries due to high demand.
The program includes more than just the adult sprint race. Children compete in scaled triathlons, from Schüler C (100 meters swimming, 2.5 kilometers cycling, 500 meters running) up to Schüler A and Jugend B races with extended cycling and running distances. A relay option is also available, allowing teams to divide the swim, bike, and run segments. With over forty editions held, the race has the character of a local club event that maintains a consistent position in Lage's sports schedule.
