Course de la Citadelle is a road race series in Wormhout, northern France, offering three adult distances: 5 km, 10 km, and a 21.1 km half marathon. This established local event, now in its 42nd edition, maintains a low entry fee of 6 euros for adult races. Two free children's races, 700 m and 2,100 m, are also part of the event.
The routes are designed for runners aiming for fast times, while accommodating both leisure runners and experienced athletes. Over 1,500 participants, assisted by numerous volunteers, take part annually. Musicians and majorettes provide entertainment along the course, and runners receive refreshments and massage support at the finish. A GPX trace is available for the half marathon route, allowing participants to preview the course beforehand.
