Foulées de Fondettes is a running and Nordic walking event in Fondettes, Indre-et-Loire, west of Tours. This is the 34th edition, using the Fun’dettoise format: one day with two parts, starting with family running and moving later into road races, nature races, and Nordic walking. The main road distances are 5 km and 10 km, both qualifying for French championships, attracting more than casual joggers. Alerte Sportive de Fondettes organizes it with town support.
The day opens with a Family Race for children and adults, with on-site entries and proceeds benefiting a local association. Afterward, road runners compete in the 5 km and 10 km. The evening shifts to nature courses of about 8 km and 16 km, plus Nordic walking. Past results show serious runners in the nature races, with winners covering 8 km in just over 28 minutes and 15 km in under an hour. The trail side has drawn over 300 participants, and the shorter trail distance has attracted more than 100. After the races, a truffade is served at the finish, maintaining a local, club-run atmosphere.
