Golden Trail is a mid-October trail event held in Saint-Roch, located in Indre-et-Loire within France’s Centre-Val de Loire region. Runners can select from short-to-medium trail distances: 8 km, 13 km, and the Victoria Trail 30 km. An 11.7 km nordic walking option is also available.
The courses are single-loop designs with moderate elevation changes, not mountainous terrain. The 8 km course has 100 m of elevation gain, the 13 km has 200 m, and the 30 km has 250 m. Several formats are designated as night races, including the 8 km, 13 km, and the nordic walking race. The 13 km is noted as the most popular distance. Previous editions saw fields exceeding 300 runners for the longer event and 100 runners for the 8 km.
