Sobre esta carrera
La Foetadenn takes runners into the woods near Saint-Brieuc, in Brittany’s Côtes-d’Armor, for a mid-November trail race offering three distances: 7 km, 13 km, or 22 km. The short route includes 100 m of elevation gain, designed to be accessible for newcomers while allowing experienced runners to compete. The 13 km option reaches 400 m of climbing, and the 22 km route presents a more challenging 750 m, with affordable entry fees for all three distances.
The courses traverse local areas including Bois Boissel, Le Légué, and Villa Rohannec’h, with the 7 km beginning at the Robien parking area. The event supports the Diwan school of Saint-Brieuc, and its inaugural edition attracted over 600 participants. The name La Foetadenn is a play on “la fête à Denn,” and also references the Breton phrase “foetañ bro,” meaning to roam or range through the countryside; this meaning suits a race centered on forest paths, local sites, and a touch of Breton wordplay.
