Sobre esta carrera
La GouRunZik is an urban race held in late June in the town center of Gourin, Morbihan, Brittany. The primary timed and ranked events are 5 km and 10 km road races. The 5 km course consists of two loops, and the 10 km course uses four loops. This is a compact town race, not a long point-to-point event. Adults must provide a PPS health certificate or an FFA license to register. The event also features walking routes of 7 km and 11 km, alongside MiniZik children’s races ranging from 450 m to 4 km for various age categories.
The race is closely linked to France’s Fête de la Musique, incorporating music along the route and in the finish area. Participants will encounter musical entertainment during the race, and the evening will feature concerts and a DJ set in central Gourin. Walkers follow routes through Gourin and its surroundings, with water provided at the start and finish points. All participants receive a gift. The combination of adult and children’s races, walks, small food vendors, and post-race music creates a town festival atmosphere centered on running.
