Sobre esta carrera
Menestrail is a late-November trail running series in Moncontour, located in the Côtes-d'Armor area of Brittany, France. The races are designed around a distinct local atmosphere: night running, wind, mud, forest paths, and a medieval setting within one of Brittany's historic towns. Participants can select from five distances, ranging from the 7 km Le Tour du Courtil to the 54 km Le Grand Menestrail, with 14 km, 24 km, and 34 km options available.
The longer races attract several hundred participants each, with the 24 km Le Menestrail typically being the most popular. The 34 km race is named La Cambrousse, and the 14 km is La Crapahute, with these names reflecting the rugged, rural character of the event. Support crews can monitor runners via a LiveTrail-powered app offering real-time tracking, and the organizers also provide live coverage on Menestrail TV on race day.
