Night4race

Night4Race is a road race held at night in Saint-Macaire-en-Mauges, located in Maine-et-Loire in western France. The adult race is a 25 km team relay for four runners, based on a specific rule: one runner begins solo, and four runners conclude together, hand in hand. Entente des Mauges organizes the event, which also features free children's and junior races, extending the evening beyond just adult relay teams. The course consists of a 2.5 km loop with a progressive relay structure. The initial runner completes the first loop alone; the second runner joins after 2.5 km, followed by the third, and finally the fourth, until the entire team arrives at the finish as a unit. This looped format, dividing the effort into distinct segments, accommodates both novice and seasoned runners. A brass band performs along the route, and amenities include an on-site bar and food, with a DJ continuing the festivities post-race. The event also provides live GPS tracking via an app, complemented by a fan zone for real-time spectator following.
