Sobre esta carrera
The Trail des Châtaignes begins at the Fort de Cormeilles-en-Parisis in Val-d'Oise, near Paris, utilizing the wooded slopes of the Parisis massif. Held in autumn, typically in November, it is a trail-running weekend featuring short and long formats, a night trail, canicross, and canirando. The location is remarkably close to the capital, offering runners forest paths, steep demanding sections, and broad views over Paris and its basin within Île-de-France.
The courses are designed around one of the Paris region's largest military forts, providing a distinct local landmark from the outset. Sunday's races include options such as Le Fort at 17 km and a 36 km trail. Challenge runners can combine the 22 km night trail with a Sunday race for a separate classification. Entry numbers are capped, and routes are shaped with preservation as a priority, aiming to keep runners on paths that safeguard sensitive areas of the massif. Dog-sport participants have dedicated events, with canicross and a canirando organized alongside the Canipirates club.
