Sobre esta carrera
The Running Tribe Race in November offers a flexible, looped running event in Chalfont St Peter, Buckinghamshire. Starts and finishes are located at either Chalfont Park Sports Club or Chalfont St Peter Community Centre, depending on the chosen course. Participants can select distances ranging from 7K or 10K up to a half marathon, marathon, 30-mile ultra, or 40-mile ultra. The flexibility allows runners to decide their distance on the day. If a runner stops before their intended distance, they are still recognized in the category for the distance they completed, making it suitable for those progressing towards longer distances without committing to a single target early on.
The courses consist of 7K or approximately 10.8K loops. The longer loop comprises about 80% trail and 20% road, utilizing public footpaths and woodland trails. This loop structure provides runners with regular access to the start-finish aid station, their personal drop bag, and crew support. Consequently, it is well-suited for individuals testing pacing strategies, nutrition, footwear, or equipment before undertaking longer races. Pacers are permitted at any point, road crossings are clearly signposted, and the aid station offers water, soft drinks, and vegan or vegetarian food options. While awards are presented to the top three finishers in each distance category, the event's design also caters to walkers, individuals completing their first half marathon, and runners attempting their initial ultra-distance race.
