Sobre esta carrera

The West Mani Sports Festival is a two-day seaside sports event in Stoupa, Messinia, featuring open-water swimming, running, children’s races, and an aquathlon. The 500m swim is a short open-water race off Stoupa beach, beginning in the early evening, with the 1km and 2km swims starting at the same time. Swimmers aged 12 and over may enter; minors require written parental consent. Each distance uses a different swim-cap color to distinguish participants in the water. The 500m course is a single right-turn triangular loop, with electronic timing and awards for the top three women and men. Finishers receive a medal engraved with their name and time. Participants also receive a bib, swim cap, technical T-shirt, and local products. The festival also includes free children’s races and an aquathlon combining running and swimming, attracting both casual participants and athletes for a mixed weekend by the sea. The Municipality of West Mani organizes the event, with proceeds supporting the West Mani volunteer association GAIA.
