The Stratoni Halkidiki Triathlon is a whynot Legacy event held in Stratoni, a coastal village on the northeastern shore of Chalkidiki, within the Municipality of Aristotle. The weekend features swimming races alongside triathlon and aquathlon competitions, catering to multiple types of multisport athletes. The adult aquathlon consists of a 0.75 km swim followed by a 5 km run. The event is coordinated by the Municipality of Aristotle, Stratoni’s professional associations, and Whynot, with backing from regional and national tourism, culture, and sport organizations.
The swim commences at Stratoni beach, starting from Beach Bar Paraty, entering the Gulf of Ierissos. Following the swim, the run is a single circuit along the beach and through the town, allowing spectators to easily follow the race. Stratoni is also situated near the birthplace of Aristotle, the namesake of the host municipality, adding local historical context to the race location. The event targets athletes and sports enthusiasts, not exclusively specialists, offering individual registration options with increasing prices from early bird to last-minute entry.
