Below Solymári Castle, the second SzalamandRUN stays near the Buda hills' edge, distinct from a road race with added dirt. It's a trail-style day with routes close to nature, for mixed age groups, offering enough variety for a hard effort or a family outing without feeling out of place.
The course combines forest dirt roads and asphalt sections, marked by painted arrows, ribbons, and signs. Longer distances require a phone and water bottle, indicating genuine outdoor running, not just park laps. Adults, children, beginners, steady middle-effort runners, and more advanced participants share the event space. Chip timing, aid stations on longer routes and at the finish, warm food afterward, and the tradition of every finisher receiving a medal are provided.
