The MAMMUT CUP Sapporo Teine Trail is a June trail-running race held on Mt. Teine in Sapporo, Hokkaido. The courses are set on a mountain with a summit elevation of 1,023 meters. Organizers state it is Hokkaido’s largest trail race, with course distances of 50 km, 34 km, 16 km, and 5 km, accommodating both beginners and experienced trail runners seeking a challenging mountain day. The course utilizes the natural mountain terrain of Mt. Teine, distinct from a city-road race, offering runners a mountain experience near Sapporo. The event now has MAMMUT as its main sponsor and was previously known as SAPPORO Teine Trail. The pre-race program includes an official briefing, a trial run, gear demonstrations, athlete discussions, a MAMMUT product lottery, and a lecture on bear safety for trail runners.
