Sobre esta carrera
Happy Science University gym serves as the race-morning hub, but the area's coastal character defines this triathlon. Located by the "second longest beach," the region is known for "year round water activities" and hosted the 2020 Tokyo Olympics surfing competition. The Kujukuri Triathlon, or 99T, offers the efficiency of a large event while remaining accessible for newer triathletes, earning its reputation as the "perfect triathlon for beginners."
The course emphasizes consistent pacing over dramatic challenges. The swim takes place in a protected estuary, followed by a straightforward bike and run on toll roads. This configuration results in a flat, fast course, attracting both beginners and those aiming for personal bests. Participants can anticipate minimal technical demands, a focus on steady pacing, and a crowd ready to compete seriously, without the need for a mountainous challenge.
