East End Reserve is the main draw, with the route looping past the East End and Fitzroy Surf Lifesaving Clubs and using nearby pathways rather than anything technical. East End parkrun has the feel of a "relaxed and friendly community event": free, timed, low-fuss, and easy to join whether you are jogging steadily or walking it through.
The course is flat and accessible, mixing "coastal views and well-formed park trails" without much to overthink underfoot. You will see runners, walkers, volunteers, casual walkers, seasoned runners, and plenty of people treating it as a regular weekend habit. The useful quirk is after the finish, when most people head to The Kiosk at Fitzroy Surf Club for a post-run coffee and chat.
