The city hosts the Międzynarodowy Wyścig Kolarski Silesian Classic and the Infomax-Kryterium Asów, both 157km road races that draw international fields; routes climb into forested mountain passes rising 400–600m with tight technical descents. Runners have flatter options through the city centre and parks, but the region's real appeal is the mix of accessible valley routes and the sustained hill work that comes within a 20km ride to the higher Beskids.
