Zabrzańskie Szosowe Wyścigi Rowerowe Niezrzeszonych
The Zabrze Road Cycling Races for Non-Affiliated Riders are street bike races in Zabrze for individuals not affiliated with cycling clubs or professional training. Entry is free, targeting general cycling enthusiasts across 11 age groups, from young children to seniors. Organizers use the phrase “from a two-year-old to a great-grandfather” to describe the event's inclusive format, emphasizing local racing focused on participation, families, and community sport over an elite-only competition. The course follows roads between central Zabrze and the Biskupice district, with most categories completing 2.7 km laps. The youngest participants cycle 200 meters. Older children and adults complete one to three laps based on age. Licensed PZKol riders aged 11 to 14 compete in distinct categories. Helmets are mandatory, minors require parental or guardian consent, and all participants will receive a diploma. Fundacja Betlehem Dom Chleba, in conjunction with the Biskupice District Council, organizes the races, receiving support from the city, police, PZKol, local sports groups, parishes, sponsors, food vendors, and children’s entertainment providers.
