Sobre esta carrera
La Block Island Half Marathon es un half marathon de octubre que se corre cada año en Block Island, Rhode Island, con salida y meta en Fred Benson Pavilion. Es una carrera pequeña de isla, no una prueba de asfalto de gran ciudad, y el recorrido tira mucho de lo que tiene Block Island: terreno abierto, costa y ambiente de carrera local.
El circuito te lleva entre dunas de playa, pasando por Great Salt Pond y en dirección a North Point Light, antes de volver por el lado oeste de la isla. En algunos tramos vas viendo el Atlantic Ocean mientras corres. Todos los finishers reciben medalla, y quienes se apuntan con antelación también se llevan la camiseta de la carrera.
