22nd POTOMAC STREET MILE 2026

This is a Memorial Race for Brunswick Police Chief Milton Frech, organized by Brunswick Main Street. Chief Frech served as the Chief of Police for Brunswick, Maryland, from 2009 until his passing in 2021. He was recognized for his community policing efforts and contributions to the Brunswick Police Department. Proceeds from the race will benefit the Brunswick Heritage Museum and Brunswick Main Street. The race starts and finishes at Square Corner Park, 1 East Potomac Street, Brunswick, Maryland. The course is a traditional 1-mile out-and-back route, mostly flat. Pre-registration closes on August 15, 2026, at 11:59 AM. The race schedule is as follows: Heat #1 at 9:00 AM for runners aged 12 and under (parental escort recommended for children under 8), and Heat #2 at 9:30 AM for runners aged 13 and over. Awards will be given for 1st and 2nd place overall male and female, and 1st place in three male and three female age groups.
