The 51st year of this historic, local event offers a unique experience for competitors and spectators. The Swan River spills into Bigfork Bay, creating a beautiful and challenging whitewater venue. The last mile of the Swan River, the Wild Mile, is a class IV section of whitewater flowing through downtown Bigfork. A scenic nature trail gives spectators front-row seats for whitewater action at the Bigfork Whitewater Festival. Downtown Bigfork offers an eclectic variety of restaurants, shops, and galleries.
