Coulee Trail Classic

The Coulee Trail Classic is a nearly four-mile trail race through the coulees near Washburn, North Dakota. It starts in the evening from the Washburn High School area on 7th Street. While short on paper, organizers caution the terrain makes it feel significantly longer. A Kids Run also takes place, concluding at the river, with shuttles returning participants to the start. The primary path consists mainly of grass, interspersed with asphalt and gravel sections, and includes logs to navigate. Expect short muddy or wet areas. The course is designed for interest and challenge, prioritizing a rugged local trail test over a refined or particularly safe run. Prizes are awarded to overall and age-group victors, with distinct categories for younger runners, open adults, masters, and senior participants across both men's and women's divisions.
